Meet our "Grateful Jar"
We started a new tradition this year. Everyday from the start of November until Thanksgiving we wrote down at least one thing we were grateful for.
We read them together today. It was very fulfilling and was a great reminder that there is always something to be grateful for each day.
And since we enjoyed it so much we decided to continue the tradition throughout the year, who says a grateful jar just has to be in November?
After we had Thanksgiving with our family, Matt surprised me by taking me on a little getaway. He thought I needed a little reward after taking three of my five national board exams. (Only have the results back on one of them, passed anesthesia!)
We were able to spend the rest of Thanksgiving break up at our friends cabin just the two of us. It was absolutely perfect. And it was just what I needed after an exhausting and stressful few weeks.
I am so grateful for my loving husband. I am grateful for his example to me and how much he supports me each and every day. He shows me daily how to be a better person and the importance of the gospel in our lives and in our home. I am grateful that he is such a strong member of the church and a worthy priesthood holder who is able to give me blessings when I need them. I'm grateful for his drive and dedication to receive an education and a great career in return. I'm grateful that he reminds me often to let the little things go and to enjoy life daily. He is my daily dose of laughter and always there when I need reassurance or a shoulder to cry on. He was the best decision I have ever made and so happy we are together forever. I love you Matt!
