Jazz vs. Clippers

Emma's brother William graciously took me to a Jazz vs. Clippers game on February 1st as a late birthday present! The seats were awesome, front row and to the side behind one of the baskets. The tickets were given to William through his work's (Clyde Co.) healthcare provider. We went to the Jazz Club before the game for a nice dinner of salads, meats, seafood, and dessert. After dinner, William and the other employees from Clyde went out to center court and William received the "game ball" signed by all of the Jazz players.

The game was awesome, and it was sweet watching CP3 and Blake Griffin play together. Luckily we were sitting behind the basket where CP3 and Griffin threw down some amazing alley-oops. Griffin was unstoppable in the first 5 minutes and was basically dunking the ball in our laps. The score was super close the entire game, but the Clippers pulled out the W with a 107-105 win. Quite Rewarding

Today I had the opportunity to participate in Give Kids a Smile. At first the thought of being at school all day Saturday was a bit of a turn off, but today was quite a rewarding experience.

Us girls from UCDH provided cleanings and sealants to over 200 children in the area, many of whom had never been to the dentist before. All the kids were able to see a dentist, get a cleaning, x-rays and any other work needed. Seeing how grateful they were and the smiles on their faces and their parents faces was worth being at school on a Saturday!

Weekend in CA

This past weekend we went to CA for a wedding. We stayed with Matt's parents the whole time and enjoyed the beautiful sun and weather. When we got there on Friday we sat out in his backyard for a while to get a little vitamin D since we have been lacking that here in Provo. It was wonderful.

Dave and Brittany's wedding was beautiful and we are excited to have them back up in Provo with us soon. Here is a little something from the reception...

Sexy and I Know it . . .

A Little Inspiration

The past little while has been a bit rough. I have felt like I am in over my head and don't know what to do about it. Clinic this semester is very different and hard to adjust to. I do love what I do and enjoy what I am studying, but I feel I will love and enjoy it even more when my grade doesn't depend on my patient showing up or not.

One day in particular was just absolutely terrible, and of course that was the one day I wouldn't see Matt until midnight that night. Luckily for me the spirit knew just what I needed and this little gem appeared in my inbox.

I'm so grateful for my faith and the gospel in my life. During those rough and terrible times it truly is my saving grace. It is what makes me who I am. I am also forever grateful for a wonderful husband who lives a gospel centered life and upholds his priesthood.
